The Theatre Prize "Il Giogo"

A theater company was born in the late 70's and it was designed to revive and relive the public situations, characters and dialect expressions typical of the Tuscan countryside.

The initiative took off in 1990 when the Society of theater directed by Lucio Fanetti gave rise to the award of Popular Theatre "Il Giogo" (The Yoke). The success he has already had a well-established cultural event, attended by amateur drama groups dialects from all over Italy. The performances take place in July in the Piazza San Prospero Montagnano.
